JUST A REMINDER: All students in grades 7-12 are required to clean out your lockers this week. Anything left in lockers at the end of this week will be tossed away. Our staff will be cleaning and re-locking lockers beginning May 30.
Once your lockers are cleared out please turn your padlock into Mrs. Yeh. You will be able to sign up for your locker for next school year once your padlock is returned. There will be a locker sign-up table outside of Damon Hall beginning at noon on Wednesday.

Thank you to all the performers in the Aloha program... you all did an awesome job! For those who need to retrieve your CD, please go to the dance office directly behind Kawaiaha'o Theater. Thanks again for your time and talents.

Students may only sell their own (or a sibling’s) used books to Ike Pono. Students who attempt to sell books that are not their own (or a sibling’s) will be dismissed from MPI.

Ike’pono (the book company) will be on campus in front of Bakken Auditorium to collect used books on Thursday from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm and on Friday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.

The Lost-and-Found items in the Weinberg Technology Center are too numerous to list. Many valuable items have been collected. Please stop by if you're looking for something you've lost.


ALL PE STUDENTS & ATHLETES: Please clean out your lockers by Tuesday, May 23 (9th graders have until after your final exam).

All one sport middle school athletes: Pick up your letter in Ms. Aki’s office.

Cafeteria hours for Wednesday & Thursday (May 24 & 25): Open 12:00 pm-12:30 pm. No snack bar or breakfast.
Friday (May 26): Cafeteria closed.

The Weinberg Technology Center will be closed for the remainder of the school year to all students with the following exceptions:
Students Enrolled in Scheduled Media and Technology Courses
Students Working on Required Class Projects from Outside Courses
Students Completing Class Assignments, Homework, and Written Papers
Students Needing to Complete Research for Class Assignments
Students Wishing to Study for Final Exams in a Quiet Learning Environment
Therefore, students with free periods, wishing to relax, sign yearbooks, and visit are requested to do so in the Watase Courtyard or the Hala Terrace. Mahalo for your cooperation.

High School:
Dress Code is in effect during Final Exams. All demerits will be counted into your citizenship grade.

On Campus Parking rules are still in effect during Final Exams.
Senior Scholarship announcement:
Senior Scholarships are available for children or spouses of active military personnel. Awards are based on financial need, academic record, leadership, and participation in school/community activities. Go to: www.ThanksUSA.org for more information. Deadline is May 30, 2006.

Seniors:
Any seniors wishing to donate their MPI polo shirts to the school, please drop them off in Damon Hall outside of Mrs. Halpern’s office.

Senior Spirit Days
Tuesday, May 23: Twin Day
Must dress up like another senior, but please be in good taste…***no slippers, tanks, spaghetti straps…

Seniors are encouraged to donate their graduation lei after the ceremony on May 27, before project grad. The lei will be placed on the graves of veterans for Memorial Day. Donation boxes will be placed around Watase Courtyard that evening for your convenience.

Who’s the leader of the band, come join the family…M-I-C-K-E-why? Seniors, Walt Disney World is announcing a new life changing opportunity. It’s the Disney CareerStart Program for students who are unsure of their future path and looking for a new experience that will provide more than just a job. This is a structured living, learning and earning program, and not for everyone. If you feel you would like more information, please see Mrs. Haas in the College and Career Center.

Sports:
Varsity athletic awards banquet will be held on Wednesday, May 31st at the Pacific Beach Hotel. Dinner starts at 6:30 pm. Advance reservations were due on Monday, May 22nd. Banquet tickets may be purchased in person at the athletic department office from May 23rd to 26th. Please contact Adria Mendoza at 973-5094.

Current 8th and 9th graders interested in playing PAC-5 JV football should meet with Head Coach Donny Ma'a from 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm on Wednesday, May 31st at the Stone Fitness Center (weight room).
