In CE, we are exploring different ways we feel (happy, sad, mad, and afraid). The students have been making "feeling cubes," which are boxes that display a different feeling on each side. In class the children used the cubes to role-play scenarios in which they were mad, sad, happy, and afraid. The children also rolled the cube, then shared a personal story about a time when they felt the feeling displayed on the cube. The children may be teaching you how to play this with them at home.
This week we started to talk about angry feelings. In class we will look at this through stories, games, and drawings. The objective is to help the children understand that it is okay to have these feelings, but it's not okay to hurt others or themselves because of them. We will be exploring this theme through next week.
